About Us

Our Safer Community evolved from mounting concerns for personal and community safety and security in a time of rising violence. We’ve developed training, workshops and other programs to empower the community and individuals to reduce or eliminate threats to their neighborhood, themselves and their workplaces. We strive to present the most practical training to increase defensive knowledge, situational awareness, preparation and self-confidence.

While violent crime directly affects a limited percentage of a community, such violence indirectly affects the perceived and actual safety of the entire community. It is the goal of Our Safer Community to train enough community groups and individuals to encourage many violent criminals to change or leave our communities.
